


1920 - Founded in New York City...Nolan Glove Co Inc becomes the very first glove company specializing in children’s sizes in the United States
1938 - the origins of licensing. “Shirley Temple” licenses Nolan to make gloves in the name of the world’s largest child star
1942 - Nolan Glove produces product for wartime
1949 - Production in Europe is added to existing US production
1953 - The cowboy craze. Nolan makes Gene Autry fringed cowboy gloves
1958 - Nolan begins making gloves on the Asian Continent
1973 - Nolan Glove begins the first production of “toesocks” on glove machines
1979 - Nolan Outdoor division begins making NFL gloves
1980 - Geoffrey Beene enters into a license agreement with Nolan Glove
1981 - Nolan Glove becomes the largest maker of childrens gloves in the United States
1985 - Nolan Glove Co. introduces the very first “gripper” glove to the market
1992 - Nolan enters the ladies accessory business
1993 - Nolan introduces the very first chenille stretch glove to market by retrofitting and augmenting seamless glove machines and spinning chenille 10 gauge yarn for the first time
1996 - Nolan Luxury Division produces Baby Guess and Guess Kids accessories
1998 - CARTERS (William H Carter Co), is licensed by Nolan
1999 - Nolan re-enters production in the USA by purchasing a factory in New York City
2000 - The 80th anniversary Nolan Glove Co
2002 - Mens winter accessories added to Nolan product offerings
2004 - Nolan introduces “Bebe d’amour” outerwear for infants
2005 - Our 85th year in business, the oldest children’s glove company in America
